Compensation: $155,000 - $182,000/year

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our client’s healthcare team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications for both inpatient and outpatient care, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. You will play a vital role in medication safety, patient education, and care transitions while collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Medication Dispensing: Prepare and dispense medications for inpatient and outpatient care while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Order Verification: Review prescriptions for dosage accuracy, drug interactions, and appropriateness before dispensing.

Patient Education: Counsel patients and families on medication usage, side effects, and adherence strategies to improve health outcomes.

Care Coordination: Assist with medication education and discharge planning to ensure seamless transitions of care.

Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations and hospital medication policies.

Controlled Substances Management: Oversee handling, inventory, and documentation of controlled substances.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required (PGY1 residency training preferred).

Licensure: Active Indiana State Pharmacist license required.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience (retail experience is a plus).

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Epic software for pharmacy management.

Attributes: Strong attention to detail, ability to work on-site, and flexibility to cover evening shifts as needed.
