We’re partnering with a respected national brand in the building materials space to find a State Sales Manager who’s ready to take charge of Queensland, grow a strong reseller network and lead a sales team to the next level.


This role is all about action, leadership and impact - you’ll be in the field, growing key accounts, opening new doors and backing your team every step of the way. You’ll report directly to the CEO, with the autonomy and trust to shape the future of the QLD region.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead a sharp, experienced sales team and lift performance through real-time coaching.
  • Spend 3+ days a week in the field - backing your reps, building trust and sealing deals.
  • Grow market share by expanding the merchant and reseller network across QLD and NT.
  • Own the regional sales strategy - drive pipeline, pricing and key account growth.
  • Keep deals tight - on margin, on spec and fully compliant with industry standards.


What You Bring

You're a hands-on sales leader who understands the trade. You know how to win business, grow people and lead from the front.

  • 7+ years of sales experience in building materials or construction.
  • 3+ years leading a team in a commercial B2B setting.
  • Deep knowledge of the Australian timber market - grades, specs, sustainability.
  • A team-first leadership style with a focus on results and accountability.
  • Strong commercial instincts and the ability to turn strategy into action.
  • Confidence using CRMs and interpreting data to drive smart decisions.
