Type of Position:

This position will begin as a 12-month contract, with strong potential for long-term employment. While the contract is initially set for 12 months, there is no fixed end date, and extensions beyond the initial term are possible. Conversion to a direct hire role may occur as early as 4 months, depending on individual performance and business needs. Although direct hire is not guaranteed, it is a common outcome for high-performing team members, and most contractors in this role do transition to permanent positions over time.


Job Location:

Warren, MI (hybrid role).


Compensation:

$42.00/hr to $47.00/hr (depending on experience) to start. Overtime is paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.


Benefits:

  • Available (medical, dental, 401k, vision, etc) – benefit eligibility begins 1st of the month after 30 days of employment.
  • You will have 7 paid holidays and 10 days PTO per year (PTO accrues over time).


Job Description:

HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major automotive manufacturer to hire a Sales & Incentives Business Analyst supporting sales, pricing, and incentive analytics within the company's PMO organization. This role is responsible for analyzing large, complex datasets related to automotive sales performance, pricing strategies, and incentive programs, then translating those insights into clear, compelling stories for leadership. The Business Analyst will work in a small, highly collaborative team environment and will have regular exposure to leadership through reporting, presentations, and ad hoc analysis. This is a high-visibility role operating in a fast-moving space focused on retail market incentives for the company.


Primary Responsibilities:

Reporting & Presentation

  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership, including updates on topics such as EV tax credit changes (1–2 times per week as needed)
  • Translate complex data into clear, concise narratives tailored to different audiences
  • Create high-quality charts, graphs, and visualizations to support decision-making

Tools & Technical Execution

  • Use advanced Excel techniques to streamline analysis and drive efficiencies
  • Develop polished, creative PowerPoint presentations that clearly communicate insights
  • Support onboarding and training efforts related to new analytical platforms and tools

Collaboration

  • Work closely with a small team (3-4 people).
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to respond to incoming analytical requests
  • Participate in team discussions to prioritize work and divide tasks based on analysis needs


Skills, Education, Experience Required:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED at a minimum.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant business analysis experience
  • Strong, hands-on expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (required)
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and multiple data sources
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify trends and tell a story with data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt messaging and presentation style based on the audience


Skills, Education, Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred (open to equivalent professional experience)
  • Solid understanding of microeconomics, including: Supply and demand relationships, pricing and incentive impacts on consumer behavior, elasticity concepts and calculations.
  • Prior experience working with automotive sales, product, pricing, or incentive data


Work Environment / Other Info:

  • This will be a hybrid role, Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Hybrid work schedule: on-site Tuesday to Thursday, remote Monday & Friday.
  • There may be occasional (rare) overtime. Any OT would be compensated at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
  • Offer may be contingent upon a background check and a drug screen (drug screen would NOT include cannabis).
