Machine Builder – Novi, MI

Pay: $24-26/hour

Shift: 4PM-2:30AM

Long term contract to hire

The Machine Builder is a skilled trades professional responsible for independently assembling and installing industrial machinery in a machine tool manufacturing environment. This role requires the ability to read mechanical blueprints and bills of materials, determine assembly processes, and complete mechanical builds with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installing equipment (tooling, framing systems, cable trays, safety systems, and floor plates),
• Performing precision tasks such as drilling, tapping, and aligning components, and using various hand and power tools.
• Basic machining knowledge (lathe, Bridgeport, surface grinder) and quality checks such as torque audits and checklist completion.

The ideal candidate is highly self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and experienced in mechanical assembly, layout, and installation processes.

Key requirements include

• Highschool diploma or GED
• At least two years of experience working in machine assembly or machine building.
