Position Description

The Artillery Vehicle Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for evaluating prototype designs and creating production drawings (Level 3 Technical Data Packages) in compliance with industry and U.S. Government specifications. The role includes supporting design reviews and meetings.

Skills Required

• Create and maintain product parts, assemblies, and drawings using PTC Creo modeling software
• Perform complex engineering design, development, analysis, and product assurance tasks for assigned portions of a project
• Solve moderately complex engineering problems that may lack clearly defined or precedent solutions
• Review and edit drawings and associated Bill of Materials (BOMs), identifying necessary corrections
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and Y14.5
• Knowledge of relevant military and commercial design standards
• Strong customer relationship and communication skills

Experience Required

• Minimum of 4 years work experience in a relevant environment

Experience Preferred

• Familiarity with creating and revising drawings using relevant military and commercial design standards
• Experience with current computer applications and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines
• Experience in a military product production environment
• Experience performing development work within defined budgets and project schedules in an integrated product team environment

Education Required

• B.S. degree in a relevant technical discipline (typically mechanical or aerospace engineering) plus 4 years of relevant experience

Additional Information

• This position is 100% on-site in York, PA
• Work schedule is 9/80 (every other Friday off)
