Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Analyst
Position Summary
The PLM Analyst is responsible for supporting the analysis, coordination, and tracking of engineering change and product lifecycle management activities for complex products within a manufacturing environment. This role serves as a key liaison between engineering, manufacturing, program management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure engineering changes and problem reports are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established workflows.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while supporting Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, engineering change processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Change & PLM Support
- Support the analysis and processing of internal and external engineering change requests and problem reports
- Monitor assigned programs to ensure engineering changes progress through established workflows and approval processes
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system data
- Troubleshoot workflow and process issues within the engineering change management system
- Ensure engineering documentation and product data remain current and compliant
Program Coordination
- Track engineering change activities across assigned programs
- Attend required program meetings and provide status updates on engineering change activities
- Support and, when required, assist in facilitating engineering review board meetings
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of engineering change activities
Reporting & Documentation
- Generate reports and metrics to support program execution, audits, and management reviews
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to engineering changes and workflow status
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports, presentations, and project documentation
- Support audit readiness through accurate recordkeeping and documentation
System Administration & User Support
- Serve as a resource for users of the PLM system by answering workflow and process questions
- Investigate and resolve system-related issues affecting engineering change workflows
- Assist with system improvements and process enhancements
- Support user adoption of standardized PLM processes and best practices
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in projects focused on improving PLM processes and engineering workflows
- Identify opportunities to streamline engineering change management processes
- Support implementation of process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user experience
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Industrial Engineering
- Systems Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Or a related technical discipline
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including:
- High School Diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Associate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree with 0+ years of relevant experience
Technical Skills
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
- Experience creating reports, metrics, and technical documentation
- Ability to troubleshoot workflow and engineering change process issues
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation and process management

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, preferably PTC Windchill
- Experience with Oracle ERP
- Experience supporting process optimization or continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience in defense, aerospace, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting engineering change management processes
