Job Description:
The Mission Systems Engineering team contributes to this effort by specifying, designing, integrating, and flight testing both in-house and off-the-shelf hardware on both V-BAT and our next-generation aircraft. This team works cross-functionally, both in the office and at our flight-testing facilities, to specify, integrate, and flight test avionics packages that enhance the mission capabilities of our aircraft. In this role, you will work with electrical, mechanical, software, and program management engineers on both the V-BAT and next-generation aircraft programs.

What you'll do:
- Own requirements gathering, design, integration, and validation of multiple electrical systems for both V-BAT and our next-generation aircraft.
- Debug, root cause, and repair electrical hardware issues.
- Drive improvements to prevent reoccurrence and increase reliability.
- Become fluent with aircraft schematics, wiring diagrams, interfaces, communications, and mechanical design
- Support aircraft flight operations and data review the responsible authority for evaluating aircraft health, performance, real-time debug and resolution
- Deliver novel autonomous features through collaboration with Mechanical, Electrical, Embedded, Manufacturing, Product Management, Flight Test, etc.
- Use Python or Matlab to scrape data during testing and validation activities.
- Contribute to and attend cross-functional design reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
- 3+ years engineering experience with electrical system design, integration, testing, debug, and repair
- Comfortable using circuit schematics and wiring diagrams
- Mastery of fundamental engineering concepts, including EE, Mech E, Programming, Physics, and Mathematics.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary hardware development projects, which can be from an internship, job, club, team, personal project, etc…
- Demonstrated history of showing ownership of project outcomes and delivering exceptional results.
- Record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Python or any scripting language.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, etc…
- Experience testing automotive or aerospace systems in the field.
- Demonstrated adaptability, agility, and the ability to innovate under pressure to meet dynamic project demands and drive successful outcomes.
