Vehicle Test Coordinator

Location: Golden, CO (Hybrid)

Pay Rate: $30–$40/hour

Position Overview:

The Vehicle Test Coordinator ensures all vehicle testing processes are accurately managed, documented, and aligned with engineering requirements. This hybrid position, based in Golden, CO, supports multiple U.S. testing stations and collaborates closely with engineers, coordinators, and test drivers to verify and track vehicle performance. Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills are essential to maintain efficient testing operations and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in an automotive or vehicle testing environment.
  • Background in automotive systems, diagnostics, or engineering.

Education:

  • Technical training in vehicle testing or an engineering-related field required.
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering-level vehicle testing preferred.

Key Skills

  • Analytical and conceptual thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering tools such as ALPOS, ATP, and VDS.
  • Problem-solving, resource management, and team-building skills.
  • Self-organized and detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of environmental reporting and maintaining a clean work environment.

Specialized Skills

Required:

  • Knowledge of current and future automotive systems, especially ADAS and electronics.
  • Database maintenance and updates.
  • Detailed engineering-level reporting and vehicle complaint tracking.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with VW/Audi systems and software.
  • Project management experience.
  • German language skills a plus.

Work Flexibility

  • Hybrid role based in Golden, CO, with travel to other U.S. testing stations as needed.
  • Standard 40-hour work week with some flexibility for project deadlines.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods and perform hands-on work around test vehicles.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and communicate updated testing requirements across all teams and locations.
  • Track and monitor vehicle tests based on proof-of-performance standards.
  • Prepare and manage vehicle complaint reports, ensuring complete documentation.
  • Monitor and update vehicle complaint tickets in the reporting system.
  • Support test stations with queries, rechecks, and special test requests.
  • Collaborate with Station Coordinators, Driver Coordinators, and Engineering Specialists to resolve testing concerns.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly equipped for assigned special tests.
  • Assist with vehicle scheduling and special test KPI tracking.
  • Conduct in-vehicle evaluations to understand system functionality in-depth.
  • Maintain and update unclear or evolving special testing instructions.
