Bradley Mechanic

Contract: 12 months (temp to hire)

Hours: 6am -230pm

75% domestic travel



Position Overview

The Field Service Technician is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying combat vehicles, with a primary focus on Bradley vehicles and related derivatives. This role works closely with the modification (MOD) team to execute Modification Work Orders (MWOs) accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and repair combat vehicles, including Bradley platforms and derivatives
  • Install and implement Modification Work Orders (MWOs) in accordance with technical directives and work instructions
  • Perform modification and retrofit work as assigned by the MOD team
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure timely and accurate execution of assigned tasks
  • Use hand, pneumatic, electric, and power tools safely and effectively
  • Maintain a professional and positive representation of the company while on-site
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards during field operations


Required Qualifications


Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent


Experience

  • Working knowledge of hand, pneumatic, power, and electric tools
  • Basic mechanical or technical experience in a field service, maintenance, or repair environment


Skills & Abilities

  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow technical direction
  • Physical ability to perform job functions, including:
  • Working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Climbing stairs and ladders
  • Carrying a personal tool bag weighing approximately 20–30 lbs


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on Bradley Fighting Vehicles or similar military platforms
  • Aluminum GMAW welding experience
  • Forklift operation experience
  • Overhead crane operation experience
  • Welding certifications


Work Environment

  • Field-based work supporting vehicle modification and repair activities
  • Physically demanding role requiring mobility, lifting, and use of tools
  • Exposure to industrial and maintenance environments
