Location: Aiken, SC


Contract: 3–4 months with strong potential for temp-to-permanent hire


Schedule: Onsite | Four 10-hour shifts (6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)


Pay: $24.85/hour | Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours


About the Role

Join a trusted leader in advanced manufacturing and defense technology as a Quality Inspector supporting production operations in Aiken, SC. In this role, you’ll perform a variety of precision inspections—dimensional, visual, surface roughness, and paint thickness—on machined and fabricated components, assemblies, and complete systems. Your work ensures every product meets engineering and quality standards that our customers depend on.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct dimensional, visual, and surface inspections on machined and non-machined parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
  • Verify compliance with blueprints, specifications, and MIL Standards.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
  • Use precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, surface plates, FARO arm, ring gauges, and pin gauges.
  • Log non-conforming materials and perform related transactions in TipQA, Oracle, and EFIR systems.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and inspection procedures to determine part disposition (accept/reject).
  • Support additional plant quality or production needs as assigned.
  • Work independently while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and quality.


What You Bring

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality inspection or quality auditing role.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D blueprints and apply that knowledge during inspection.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, height gauges, FARO arm, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of TipQA, Oracle, and EFIR or similar business systems.
  • Competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for data entry and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality standards.
  • Familiarity with welding symbols and weld drawing interpretation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience inspecting products to MIL Standards and formal work instructions.
  • Proven ability to maintain inspection equipment and manage calibration needs.
  • Ability to perform thorough inspections with minimal supervision.
