Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Tonawanda, NY
Contract: 12 months (strong potential for extension or direct hire)
Compensation: $49–51/hour + PTO, Paid Holidays, optional Benefits
Schedule Requirements:

Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor leads maintenance operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, supporting production targets, and ensuring safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
This position requires a strong blend of leadership and hands-on technical expertise, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues in real time.
Key Responsibilities

Lead maintenance operations aligned to SPQRC (Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost) goals

Supervise, coach, and develop a multi-trade workforce (mechanical & electrical technicians)

Diagnose equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions

Oversee preventative and planned maintenance programs
- Manage maintenance-related projects, including construction and equipment upgrades

Ensure compliance with safety standards and housekeeping expectations
- Support production schedules while maintaining quality standards
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges

Monitor downtime, analyze trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage employee performance, training, and development

Ensure adherence to labor agreements and company policies
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Review shift handoffs, downtime reports, and production metrics

Troubleshoot and support CNC and manufacturing equipment
-
Lead a team of 10–15 employees, coordinating with skilled trades
- Drive real-time problem solving directly on the plant floor
Required Qualifications
-
Proven leadership experience managing 10–15+ employees
-
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
-
Experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Experience

Experience in a union environment (UAW preferred)

Background in CNC equipment and industrial manufacturing

Experience leading multi-trade teams
Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field
-
OR equivalent hands-on technical training (skilled trades)
-
3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
-
10+ years of overall relevant experience preferred
Work Environment

Onsite role in a manufacturing plant setting
