Compensation: $140-$145,000 annually + 20% target bonus

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead operations at our high-performance manufacturing facility in Nashville, TN—home to world-class craftsmanship and the production of USA-made guitars. This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role responsible for driving excellence across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Human Development, and Responsiveness (SQDCHR) metrics.


The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of leading high-mix, high-volume manufacturing teams in a Lean and quality-focused environment. You’ll oversee a team of Production Supervisors and their respective departments, reporting directly to the Facility Director.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate production operations across multiple departments to achieve daily, weekly, and long-term performance goals.
  • Establish and manage performance targets that align with organizational objectives and continuous improvement metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to standard work and promote daily team engagement, accountability, and problem-solving.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) across all production areas.
  • Lead daily Gemba walks and KPI meetings to reinforce a culture of transparency, collaboration, and ownership.
  • Drive success in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement through proactive leadership.
  • Develop and manage budgets for labor, raw materials, and capital expenditures (CapEx).
  • Champion Lean manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen events and visual management practices.
  • Enforce compliance with safety and sanitation standards and model a “Safety First” culture.
  • Build, coach, and develop high-performing teams through leadership, mentoring, and training.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement process improvements and strategic initiatives that advance efficiency and output.



Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering or related field a plus).
  • 5–7 years of progressive supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in woodworking, musical instruments, or precision manufacturing preferred.


Skills & Competencies

  • Proven success implementing Lean principles (Kaizen, visual factory, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and production reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical thinker with a solutions-oriented mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with a hands-on leadership style.

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Primarily based on the production floor and in-office; occasional travel may be required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs in a manufacturing environment.
