Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on standardizing work methods for both new and existing production lines to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Design safe, ergonomic, and productive manufacturing workstations using best practices in plant layout and workstation design.
- Analyze costs and contribute to strategic make-or-buy decisions for components and sub-assemblies.
- Lead by example in health and safety, identifying opportunities and actions to create a safer workplace for all.
- Leverage digital tools to model, simulate, and improve manufacturing processes and equipment performance, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Implement and support enhancements to existing processes, equipment, and systems that help achieve organizational goals.
- Optimize manufacturing processes by integrating knowledge of equipment, human interaction, process flow, and facility requirements.
- Quantify and assess process elements to minimize waste, streamline workflows, and ensure optimum resource allocation.
- Transform engineering and product design drawings into efficient, real-world manufacturing solutions.
- Work cross-functionally, building strong partnerships and collaborating with diverse teams to achieve shared objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in industrial engineering or similar continuous improvement roles.
- Demonstrated success in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong proficiency with data analytics and building actionable reports.
- Prior hands-on experience in a comparable setting.
- Licensing may be required for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
