CTP Maintenance Technician – 2nd and 3rd Shift
Skilled Technician – Level III
Openings:
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (40 hours per week)
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (40 hours per week)
Base Pay: $36/hour + 8% Shift Premium

Location: Nonlocal candidates are acceptable; however, relocation expenses are the responsibility of the candidate.
Position Summary
The CTP Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing skilled work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of the establishment in repair. The role is suited for advanced troubleshooters with proven ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex electrical and mechanical system issues, not just routine or preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex mechanical and electrical system issues.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools; reassemble equipment.
- Perform inspections of drives, motors, belts, and other components to check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform maintenance actions following checklists.
- Use hand and power tools, including hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, as well as precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing devices.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
- Record types and costs of maintenance or repair work.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5-7 years of relevant, hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining complex machinery and systems.
- Creativity, strong verbal and written communication skills, and advanced analytical/problem-solving ability.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment with direction from a supervisor.
- Team player with meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and manufacturing/distribution techniques.
- Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

- Not seeking candidates whose main experience is in facilities or HVAC, who focus solely on preventive maintenance, or who lack significant troubleshooting experience.
