Position Overview

  • Type: Full-time
  • Workplace: Field-Based
  • Reports to: National Tire Manager (NTM)
  • Travel: Up to 80% (Overnight travel required)

Summary

The Market Tire Coach (MTC) serves as the primary subject matter expert for tire program performance and growth. This role focuses on optimizing assortment, inventory, pricing, merchandising, and staff training. You will collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and their partners—including regional teams, manufacturers, and distributors—to achieve KPIs, enhance dealer execution, and expand market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Expertise: Support the implementation and setup of Tire Inventory Management (TIM) tools, overseeing inventory control, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Performance Management: Drive regional growth through strategic sales planning, monthly performance reviews, and targeted recovery initiatives.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all dealer and partner operations adhere to established tools, processes, and brand standards.
  • Training & Development: Deliver field training and develop job aids or playbooks to drive operational excellence at the dealership level.
  • Strategic Analysis: Lead KPI and Business Process Reviews (BPR), translating data insights into actionable field strategies and managing special projects to completion.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor trends and market shifts to identify new growth opportunities.


Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Proven background in tire sales processes, retail operations, dealer programs, or general automotive field roles.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of tire merchandising, pricing structures, and inventory management.
  • Analytical Skills: Data-driven mindset with experience in forecasting and performance analysis.
  • Soft Skills: A self-starter with strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel).
  • Requirements: Valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel extensively.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

  • KPI Improvement: Measurable growth in specific Market KPIs.
  • Documentation: Timely completion of all required support and field reporting.
  • Market Growth: Consistent increase in tire sales and procurement volume across all dealers within the assigned market and region.
