Dealer Systems Trainer

Location: Albany, NY

Salary: $74,000 + Bonus + $500/month Car Allowance

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Dealer Systems Trainer to support dealership partners by driving the successful implementation, training, and long-term adoption of technology platforms that enhance customer experience and operational performance. This role serves as a key resource to dealership teams by delivering hands-on training, coaching staff, and helping locations maximize system usage and efficiency.

This is a field-based opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys travel, relationship-building, problem-solving, and helping teams succeed through technology.

Key Responsibilities

Training & System Implementation

  • Lead the rollout, setup, and launch of dealership technology systems across assigned locations
  • Deliver engaging in-person and virtual training sessions for dealership staff
  • Guide teams through onboarding and ensure smooth transitions to new processes and tools
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned systems and platforms

Coaching & Performance Support

  • Provide ongoing coaching to reinforce best practices and improve user adoption
  • Identify workflow gaps and recommend solutions to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Support dealerships with troubleshooting, process improvements, and operational challenges
  • Use performance metrics and reporting tools to track progress and drive results

Relationship Management

  • Build strong partnerships with dealership leadership, managers, and frontline staff
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent communication and support

Territory Management

  • Manage travel schedules and territory coverage to maximize dealership impact
  • Utilize remote tools to support stores between on-site visits
  • Maintain strong organization across multiple locations and priorities

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in training, coaching, customer service, dealership operations, or related field
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage all levels of an organization
  • Comfortable learning and teaching technology platforms and performance systems
  • Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel
  • Reliable transportation and residence within assigned territory

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree (completed or in progress)
  • Previous dealership, automotive, or field training experience
  • Experience working independently in fast-paced environments
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive mindset

Work Environment

  • Field-based role supporting multiple dealership locations throughout the territory
  • Frequent travel required
  • Combination of on-site dealership visits and remote support
