Industrial HR Manager

Wixom, MI (Hybrid – onsite 3 days/week)

$90,000–$120,000 + bonus + full benefits


Make an Impact as a Strategic HR Leader

We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager to serve as a trusted advisor to our CFO and leadership team. In this highly visible role, you’ll shape and lead people strategies that support business growth, strengthen culture, and ensure compliant, consistent HR practices across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys both strategic partnership and hands-on execution across the full employee lifecycle in a multi-site environment.


What You’ll Do

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Partner with executive leadership and managers on talent, performance, succession, and workforce planning
  • Provide expert guidance on organizational effectiveness and employee engagement
  • Align HR initiatives with business goals and operational priorities

HR Programs & Operations

  • Lead and execute core HR programs including recruitment, performance management, compensation planning, and development
  • Oversee HR policies, processes, and compliance across the employee lifecycle
  • Ensure consistent HR practices across corporate and site operations

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Lead employee relations matters and complex investigations independently or with legal counsel
  • Advise leaders on performance and workplace issues, driving fair and timely resolution
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws (MI & CA)
  • Manage leave programs (FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, disability) and documentation

Talent & Organizational Support

  • Collaborate with leadership on staffing plans and talent acquisition strategies
  • Support audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements (I-9, EEO, unemployment)
  • Manage visa processes and immigration coordination
  • Lead and develop the Corporate HR team, fostering collaboration and consistency

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience with leadership responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance (Michigan & California)
  • Experience supporting both hourly and salaried populations
  • Experience in multi-site or distributed organizations

Preferred

  • Master’s degree
  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification
  • Benefits administration experience
  • ADP Workforce Manager or HRIS expertise
  • Experience as a stand-alone HR leader or in a small HR team
  • Track record of building or improving HR processes and systems
