Position Overview
Join a critical defense program as a Logistics Support Specialist, supporting the lifecycle management of military equipment and systems. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate logistics documentation, tracking inventory, and ensuring the proper deployment and sustainment of mission-critical components. This is a high-impact position with visibility across operations, supply chain, and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, and technical manuals
- Determine material requirements to support maintenance, repair, and deployment activities
- Track inventory and ensure proper allocation, storage, and accountability of materials
- Develop and manage requisitions for parts, equipment, and repair components
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for complex systems
- Review configuration changes and assess impacts on logistics and deployment plans
- Document equipment condition and support lifecycle logistics planning
- Compile and manage supporting documentation including drawings, manuals, and maintenance records
- Collaborate across teams to ensure operational readiness and sustainment support
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
- Effective communication skills in team and individual settings
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in inventory control or logistics operations
- Experience supporting government, military, or defense programs
- Familiarity with Basic Issue Items (BII) and fielding processes
- Military background (e.g., logistics, maintenance, or supply roles)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, FEDLOG, Haystack)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy materials
- Work in various environments including warehouse, shop floor, and outdoor settings
- Capable of working in confined or elevated spaces when required
- Ability to operate in environments with moderate to high noise levels
