Candidate Requirements:
This role is ONLY open to US Citizens. Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders) and any other work authorizations are NOT permitted here as this role requires eligibility to obtain a secret clearance (a secret clearance is only open to US Citizens). Clearance isn’t required to start (but all candidates must be eligible to obtain one). Due to the nature of this role (working for a defense contractor tied to the federal government) – candidates may need to pass a drug screen (which would include cannabis). There would be no exceptions to this (eg: a medical card).

Killeen, TX. This role will be based at Fort Hood.
Compensation:
This position pays a base rate of $27.71 per hour. In addition, we offer a Health & Wellness (H&W) benefit in accordance with government contracting standards. This allows employees to receive an additional $4.93 per hour in lieu of enrolling in our company-provided health insurance plan. Key details:
- If you decline our company-provided health insurance, you will receive the H&W pay of $4.93/hour.
- The H&W benefit becomes effective on the first day of the month after 30 days of employment – this is the same eligibility timeline as all other benefits.
- Once the H&W benefit kicks in, your effective hourly pay will be $32.64/hour ($27.71 base + $4.93 H&W) for all regular time hours (up to 40 hours per week).
- Overtime (hours over 40/week) is paid at 1.5x your base rate of $27.71/hour, which equals $41.57/hour.

Overview:
HRU Technical Resources is seeking motivated Supply Technicians to support a leading defense contractor at Fort Hood in Killeen, TX. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in keeping the Abrams Tank Family of Vehicles mission-ready by managing tools, parts, and supplies for our military teams. This is a hands-on logistics role where attention to detail and teamwork directly impact operational success. This is a great opportunity for logistics professionals with military or defense experience who are looking for stability and long-term growth / development. Please note, this will be an SCA role. Responsibilities:
- Receive, store and issue bench stock, repair parts, tools and STTE, establish and make entries to and maintain stock control and accounting records for the Abrams Tank Family of Vehicles.
- Establish and maintain records for both manual and automated maintenance management systems;
- Perform HAZMAT shelf life surveillance management as requires;
- Generate Reorder/Reorder Point (RO/ROP) Bench stock items, reports for inventory management;
- Conduct location accountability surveys and inventories, post to records, tools and STTE;
- Provide administrative support for Tool Room personnel;
- Potential for exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties;
- Transport repair parts and/or supplies to other workers or areas using material handling equipment (MHE) or commercial vehicles, as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required at a minimum. Higher level experience (Associate or Bachelor’s Degree) is welcome.
- Three (3) or more years of experience working in logistics and familiar with Military Logistics' terminology and processes, handling hand receipts, tool names and numbers, and National Stock Numbers (NSN's) and have knowledge to prepare necessary forms to fulfill Supply Support activity requirements for the Retrofit Team.
- Able to travel with our teams to other military or field sites within the USA.
- Excellent communication skills along with professional demeanor that extends to all levels of the organization to include our customers and management.
- Must be knowledgeable and experienced with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and Power Point) and be able to become proficient in Lotus Notes.
- Must possess valid vehicle operator license and be able to obtain DA Form 348 to operate forklift, related MHE and US Government and commercial vehicles; as required.
- Ability and knowledge in all aspects of the use and care of hand tools, STTE for Retrofit Deprocessing.
- Must demonstrate ability to complete programs and projects.
- Able to coordinate and collaborate with other material handlers and supervision to ensure processes are aligned.
- Requires minimal supervision and capable of working independently with minimal errors.
- Acquired knowledge of company processes, products and military technology in support of the retrofit.
- Must be willing to train on SAMS-E, SARS, LMP and PBUSE, if required.
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs, work in extreme temperature and environmental conditions in assigned asphalted motor pool open area or buildings as well as other assigned fielding areas, following prescribed OSHA rules. Must be able to work at heights and climb ladders to access, move and deliver parts.
Work Environment:
- This is a 1st (day) shift role with occasional overtime as needed.
- There will be some travel in this role as required. Travel will be strictly to sites with the USA (CONUS).
