Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Robotics to support the design, development, and implementation of innovative robotic and mechatronic systems. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving and wants to work across the full product lifecycle—from concept through testing and deployment.
You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team to design high-performance mechanical systems while contributing to cutting-edge robotics programs.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of robotic and mechatronic systems

Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings (SolidWorks preferred)

Develop production-ready designs for machined parts, weldments, and assemblies

Perform structural analysis using hand calculations and FEA tools

Select appropriate materials based on performance, cost, and durability

Design and analyze mechanical systems including motors, gearboxes, bearings, and linkages

Conduct testing, data analysis, and troubleshooting to improve system performance

Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams

Support full system integration and maintain accurate technical documentation

Apply design for manufacturability (DFM) principles to optimize cost and efficiency
- Troubleshoot mechanical and system-level issues during development and production

Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships or co-ops included)

Strong understanding of robotics fundamentals (kinematics, dynamics, statics)

Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)

Solid foundation in mechanical design and analysis

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience in robotics, automation, or mechatronics systems

Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Experience with FEA tools (SolidWorks Simulation or similar)

Experience selecting and integrating motors, actuators, and transmissions

Exposure to sensors (load cells, strain gauges, Hall-effect, position, temperature)

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
