Type of Position:
This position will begin as a 12-month contract, with strong potential for long-term employment. While the contract is initially set for 12 months, there is no fixed end date, and extensions beyond the initial term are possible. Conversion to a direct hire role may occur as early as 4 months, depending on individual performance and business needs. Although direct hire is not guaranteed, it is a common outcome for high-performing team members, and most contractors in this role do transition to permanent positions over time.

Arlington, TX (on site role).
Compensation:
$45.00/hr to $50.00/hr (depending on experience) to start. Overtime is paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.

- Available (medical, dental, 401k, vision, etc) – benefit eligibility begins 1st of the month after 30 days of employment.
- You will have 10 days PTO per year (PTO accrues over time). There will be significantly more PTO in converting to direct hire.
Job Description:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major automotive manufacturer to hire a Die Maintenance Supervisor. This role is responsible for leading maintenance operations within a UAW manufacturing environment, supporting production equipment, tooling, and facility maintenance activities. This role oversees skilled trades personnel, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and supports plant operational goals related to Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost (SPQRC). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and leadership experience in manufacturing maintenance, along with the ability to supervise multi-trade teams in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise maintenance personnel in a union manufacturing environment
- Support maintenance operations for tooling, manufacturing equipment, assembly systems, and facility operations
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Support planned and preventative maintenance activities
- Supervise maintenance and construction-related projects
- Maintain production schedules and quality standards while minimizing downtime
- Promote and enforce plant safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards
- Support plant SPQRC performance objectives
- Train, mentor, develop, and evaluate maintenance employees
- Coordinate with internal departments and external resources to resolve operational issues
- Support implementation of divisional and corporate maintenance initiatives
- Ensure compliance with local and national labor agreements
- Manage work assignments within budget, manpower, and timing constraints
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility
- Gather operational data and support machine studies and reporting activities
- Partner with leadership teams to identify and resolve production and maintenance challenges
Skills, Education, Experience Required:
- High school diploma OR GED is required (higher level education is also welcome).
- 8+ years of maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial supervisory experience
- Experience supervising multi-trade maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of tooling, manufacturing, assembly, and industrial maintenance processes
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience supporting machine, assembly, and/or facility maintenance operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership abilities
- Ability to work any assigned shift and overtime as required
Skills, Education, Experience Preferred:
- Associate degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Skilled trades certification or equivalent technical training
- Experience working in a UAW environment
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations
- Familiarity with industrial maintenance planning and preventative maintenance systems
- Experience with behavioral competency-based leadership environments

Work Environment / Other Info:
- This role works across multiple shifts. We need candidates who are flexible. Shift hours are as follows:
- 1st shift = 6:00am to 2:00pm
- 2nd shift = 2:00pm to 10:00pm
- 3rd shift = 10:00pm to 6:00am
- Work will be Monday to Saturday. Occasional Sundays are required, once every 2 months.
- This role typically includes about 10-16 hours of overtime per week. Overtime is paid at 1.5x for all hours worked over 40, and any Sunday hours worked after reaching 40 hours in the week are paid at double time (2.0x).
- Automotive manufacturing plant environment - frequent interaction with production employees and cross-functional teams.
