Type of Position:
This position is a long-term contract role with no fixed end date. Conversion to a direct hire role may occur as early as 3 months, depending on individual performance and business needs. Although direct hire is not guaranteed, it is a common outcome for high-performing team members, and most contractors in this role do transition to permanent positions over time.
Job Location:
Holland, MI (on site role).
Compensation:
$25.00/hr to start. There may be occasional overtime in this role, and any OT is paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.

- You will have 10 days PTO per year (PTO accrues over time). PTO will substantially increase after converting to direct hire.

HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a global leader in designing, building, and integrating custom automation systems – from robotics and material-handling to full manufacturing and warehouse solutions – helping leading manufacturers streamline production and distribution worldwide We are seeking to hire a Logistics Coordinator / Warehouse Associate for our Holland, MI facility. The person in this role will help ensure materials are received, validated, staged, delivered, and shipped accurately while working closely with purchasing, build teams, engineers, carriers, suppliers, and other internal customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receiving, Shipment Validation & Quality Control
- Performs validation on all incoming shipments to ensure Supplier’s paperwork matches the physical items received, as well as our purchase order(s).
- Resolves discrepancies with Purchasing team. Verifies quantity of items physically received matches our and supplier’s records (Purchase Order, Packing List, etc.).
- Engages build team and engineers in Quality Control review on all incoming shipments.
- Performs material “check in” process to indicate materials that have been delivered to the build team.
Shipping, Freight & Carrier Coordination
- Schedule all order pick-up and deliveries related to LTL freight and small parcel packages (i.e. FedEx/UPS).
- Adhere to all client shipping guidelines and standards including routing and packaging instructions.
- Delivers timely communications on exceptions or unforeseen changes in shipping, as well as shipment status, tracking information, insurance and claim detail, etc.
- Must be able to effectively load and unload all types of machinery and equipment from all types of trucks and trailers used by our company, customers, and suppliers.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Customer Service
- Coordinates with other functional areas and logistics team members to implement best practices, with the end goal of driving improved continuous material flow.
- Demonstrates strong working relationships with internal and external customers, including coworkers, management, carriers, supply chain and vendors.
- Represents a critical on-site presence to internal customers and maintains a proper professional approach in all types of interactions.
Documentation, Invoicing & Returns
- Ensures purchasing, receiving, and accounting related documentation is routed correctly and filed accurately and neatly.
- Processes problem invoices through the enlighten platform. Initiates PRS process for all returns, including logging and tracking root cause reason codes.
Material Flow, Storage & Line Side Stocking
- Works with Build team to develop and organize material and material storage areas throughout the building in support of the line side stocking program.
- Delivers materials to job shelves throughout the building to support line side stocking program.
- Stages skids and other bulk material to plant locations based on point of use stocking program.
Fleet Management & Other Duties
- Track and manage fleet car sign-out at each respective BU location.
- Any other tasks and work that Supervisor may assign from time to time.

Requirements:
- High school diploma OR GED is required at a minimum (higher level education is welcome).
- 3+ years' experience in business environment. Logistics, Material Management or Supply Chain experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to accept direction and complete tasks as assigned while working as part of a team or individually.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. as required. Ability to obtain a Hi-Lo (Forklift) and Overhead Crane license while employed at our company.
Work Environment / Other Info:
- 1st (day) shift role.
- This role will be a minimum of 40 hours per week, but there will be occasional overtime. Any OT will be paid at 1.5x.
- Offer may be contingent on a background check and a drug screening. Drug screen would include testing for cannabis. There would be no exceptions to the drug screening (eg: for individuals with a medical marijuana card).
