Project Manager
Location: Temple, TX
Schedule: Full-time, Onsite
Work Schedule: 9/80 Schedule (Every Other Friday Off)
Travel: Up to 10%
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating program activities to ensure successful execution of complex manufacturing and integration projects. This role oversees project schedules, budgets, hardware deliveries, risk management, and cross-functional execution to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements.
The successful candidate will lead matrixed teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Contracts, Finance, and Operations while serving as a primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. This position requires a highly organized leader capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead multiple project activities from planning through execution and completion
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Ensure projects achieve cost, schedule, technical, and quality objectives
- Drive successful execution while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Coordinate multiple concurrent production and integration efforts
Cross-Functional Leadership

Schedule & Delivery Management
- Manage project schedules and coordinate multiple production activities
- Oversee the flow of hardware and materials to support on-time project execution
- Monitor project milestones and proactively address schedule risks
- Ensure timely completion of all project deliverables
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders
- Present project status during customer meetings, technical reviews, and leadership briefings
- Communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to internal and external stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout project execution
Risk & Financial Management
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities
- Monitor project budgets and financial performance
- Support achievement of project revenue, profitability, and cash flow objectives
- Make timely business decisions while balancing cost, schedule, and technical requirements
Continuous Improvement
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans
- Capture lessons learned and incorporate best practices into future projects
- Utilize performance metrics to monitor project health and improve execution
- Drive process improvements that enhance project performance and operational efficiency
Reporting & Documentation
- Develop and maintain project documentation, schedules, and status reports
- Prepare presentations for program reviews, customer meetings, and executive leadership
- Ensure accurate documentation of project activities, risks, decisions, and deliverables
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree required
Experience
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant project management experience
- Experience leading projects through planning, execution, monitoring, and project closeout
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment
Technical Skills
- Experience with project scheduling and budget management
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Understanding of project lifecycle management and risk mitigation

Preferred Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- Master's degree with 7 or more years of relevant experience

- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Program Management Professional (PgMP)
- Other industry-recognized project management certifications
Experience
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
- Experience supporting manufacturing, defense, aerospace, or complex production programs
- Experience managing production schedules, hardware deliveries, and customer-driven projects
