HR Generalist

Location: Nashville, TN

Reports To: Senior Human Resources Business Partner


Position Summary

The HR Generalist provides broad, hands-on human resources support across employee relations, recruiting, benefits, HR systems, compliance, payroll support, and organizational initiatives. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and leaders, responds to questions regarding HR policies and procedures, and helps resolve workplace concerns using sound employee-relations practices.

The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and comfortable balancing day-to-day HR responsibilities with longer-term projects in a fast-paced manufacturing and corporate environment.


Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & HR Support

  • Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace practices.
  • Support employee-relations matters and help resolve concerns professionally and consistently.
  • Build strong relationships with employees and leaders across multiple locations.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and supportive work environment.
  • Support internal communication efforts and employee-engagement initiatives.


Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for corporate and manufacturing positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and support effective hiring decisions.
  • Coordinate candidate communication, interviews, offers, and onboarding activities.
  • Help ensure new employees receive a consistent and positive onboarding experience.


HR Operations & Compliance

  • Support the implementation and administration of HR policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, reporting, and HR system information.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related questions and administrative needs.
  • Provide occasional timecard and payroll-entry support.
  • Help maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Support workplace safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and business information.


Projects & Process Improvement

  • Participate in cross-functional projects involving HR, production, and senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, communication, and employee support.
  • Support change-management and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with training programs that improve employee capabilities and organizational performance.
  • Manage multiple assignments and projects while meeting established deadlines.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least four years of professional human resources experience.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, HR administration, and compliance activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, teamwork, and project-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or another recognized HR certification.
  • Previous HR experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple facilities or business locations.

Travel & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel between company offices, manufacturing facilities, sales locations, showrooms, and supplier sites as needed.
  • Expected travel is approximately 5–10%.
  • Ability to perform work involving routine sitting, standing, and walking.


Salary: $70,000-75,000 w/ 3 % bonus structure
