Pay: $42-45/hour

Long term contract to hire

Position Summary

The CAE Analyst II (NVH/Durability) leverages advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to solve Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) and Durability challenges in automotive, aerospace, entertainment, and industrial domains. You will build and analyze FEA models using state-of-the-art CAE tools, delivering actionable engineering insights that drive innovation and efficiency in early-stage product development.

Key Responsibilities

-    Develop and analyze NVH and Durability models using commercial CAE tools (e.g., Nastran, Abaqus, Optistruct, ANSYS) for automotive, aerospace, and entertainment applications.

-    Run structural simulations (linear, non-linear, dynamic), post-process results, and deliver engineering-based recommendations.

-    Create and present clear technical reports and findings to internal teams and clients.

-    Develop Python scripts to automate and optimize CAE workflows.

-    Rapidly learn and implement new CAE tools and methodologies.

-    Organize and manage analysis files in accordance with company data retention policies.

-    Collaborate with cross-functional CAE teams to enhance modeling accuracy and reduce development times.

-    Independently manage multiple projects, maintain direct client communications, and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.

-    Balance priorities to ensure timely, high-quality project deliverables.

-    Contribute to the development and deployment of new technologies and processes.

Required Qualifications

-    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with coursework in FEA, Strength of Materials, Mechanical Behavior of Materials (metals, plastics, composites), and Noise & Vibration.

-    1–3 years of NVH & Durability FEA modeling experience, including hands-on use of tools such as ANSA and Hypermesh.

-    Practical experience in building and analyzing linear, non-linear, and dynamic structural FEA models.

-    Solid understanding of mechanical systems, vehicle structures, and load cases relevant to NVH & Durability.

-    Strong attention to detail, with ability to use hand calculations and free body diagrams to validate models and results.

-    Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.

-    Proficient problem-solving skills, including the initiative to research and develop solutions for new technical challenges.

-    Proficient in finite element software environments (Altair Hyperworks, ANSA & META).

Preferred Qualifications

-    Master’s or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

-    Experience automating engineering processes with Python, Excel VBA, or C.

-    Experience analyzing complex, full-vehicle models.

-    Familiarity with FEA/fatigue simulation software (e.g., Nastran, Abaqus, nCode).

-    Experience integrating real-world test data and performing experimental validations.

-    U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (required for ITAR compliance).
