Position Objective
The Electrical Designer role is ideal for professionals with foundational experience in automation and mechanical design. You will independently contribute to the development of scalable, high-performance automation platforms, supporting critical technologies for industries such as pharmaceutical, medical, automotive, and consumer goods.
Duties

Product Knowledge: Apply working knowledge of automation products, platforms, and engineering standards to support design and development.

Design: Independently design and integrate automation components, systems, or software solutions.

Fine-Tuning & Testing: Execute and support system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging activities during development, build, and commissioning phases. Identify root causes and propose solutions.

Customer & Project Interaction: Participate in internal and customer meetings, providing technical input and supporting project execution.

Tools & Systems: Use engineering tools and systems (e.g., CAD, PDM, PLC/HMI software, vision platforms) proficiently for design and documentation tasks.

Documentation & Standards: Create, maintain, and review engineering documentation (e.g., drawings, BOMs, specifications) per project and company standards.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and engineering standards.

Support & Flexibility: Provide support across all project phases including design, build, validation, installation, and post-installation service. Mentor junior engineers and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent.
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
Technical Qualifications:
- Proficient in electrical design principles and schematic development.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN, and documentation standards.
- Proficient in component selection, wiring layout, and reading/redlining electrical schematics.
- Knowledge and application of NEC, NFPA 79, and UL 508A standards.
- Ability to design panel layouts, voltage separation, and meet spacing requirements.
Employment Requirements:
- Eligible to work in the United States; valid state driver’s license; eligible to obtain a passport for international travel.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Ability to travel or work flexible hours as required by project deliverables.
- Must adhere to a drug-free work environment.
- Must be able to work onsite at least three days per week; remote work permitted up to two days per week, depending on project needs and team coordination.
