Lab Technician


Location: Columbus, OH & West Jefferson, OH

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Contract Length: 6-month contract with potential for extension or direct hire

Pay Rate: $22.00/hour

Position Overview


We are seeking motivated Inhalation Technicians to support laboratory research activities within a dynamic life sciences environment. This role is 100% onsite and involves assisting with inhalation studies, aerosol generation and characterization, and laboratory operations that support research, development, and testing programs.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to work in a regulated laboratory setting with opportunities to contribute to scientific and technical projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with in vivo and in vitro inhalation laboratory activities.
  • Support aerosol generation, characterization, and related experimental procedures.
  • Perform routine laboratory tasks, trials, tests, and experiments under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Record and verify experimental data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
  • Assist with drafting technical documentation and analyzing test results.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), and all safety protocols.
  • Handle hazardous materials and chemicals safely and responsibly.
  • Complete assigned project tasks within established schedules and budgets.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related scientific or technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year of applicable laboratory, technical, or research experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to perform routine laboratory assignments.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability and willingness to wear a respirator and work with hazardous chemicals.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience with inhalation studies, aerosol generation, or aerosol characterization.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to analyze technical data and support experimental investigations.


Interview Process

  • One-hour interview conducted via Microsoft Teams or onsite.
  • Interview panel typically includes the hiring manager and 1–2 scientific staff members.
  • Remote interviews are available for candidates willing to relocate.
