Type of Position:

This position will begin as a 6-month contract, with strong potential for long-term employment. While the contract is initially set for 6 months, there is no fixed end date, and extensions beyond the initial term are possible. Although direct hire is not guaranteed, it is a common outcome for high-performing team members, and most contractors in this role do transition to permanent positions over time.


Job Location:

Idaho Falls, ID (onsite role).


Compensation:

$20.00/hr to start. Overtime paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.

  • Available (health insurance, dental, vision, 401k, etc) – benefit eligibility begins the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment.
  • This position does not include paid time off while on contract, so you only get paid for the hours you work. Unpaid time off is permitted with manager approval. When moving into a direct-hire role, you would receive a generous PTO package.


Job Description:

HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major chemical, research, and agriculture organization to hire a Warehouse Associate for our facility in Idaho Falls, ID. This role is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, and stack product for accurate storage, shipping, and receiving. You will also ensure compliance with safety, security, and productivity standards. The position fills and/or relabels customer orders, delivering them to staging areas in a complete and accurate manner. Additional duties include moving products from production areas using a yard hustler to move trailers. The Warehouse Associate will troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day shipping activities as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Safely receive, store, and relocate product, including put-away tasks.
  • Support defensive receiving procedures.
  • Perform cycle counts, recounts, and inventory audits.
  • Pick products according to SAP-generated pick lists and audit picked orders.
  • Conduct bin cleaning and inspections.
  • Repack and relabel products for inventory and orders.
  • Audit relabeled products and supporting paperwork.
  • Fill returnable bins as necessary.
  • Coordinate with drivers on special requirements, including trailer loading and product rearrangement.
  • Facilitate in-house transfers and relocate product within warehouse locations.
  • Audit and relabel product in return areas as needed for reintegration into inventory.


Qualifications / Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED is required at a minimum. Higher level education is welcome (but not required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehousing experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and lift up to 55 lbs by hand.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across all departments and management levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, calculator usage, and basic math functions.
  • Capable of operating telephones, fax machines, copiers, and computer printers.


Preferred:

  • Experience operating sweepers and scrubbers is preferred (but not required).
  • Experience working for an agricultural / seed processing company is preferred (but not required).


Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • This is a 1st (day) shift role. Standard schedule is 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
  • There will be occasional overtime, and any overtime will be paid at 1.5x.
  • Candidates must be able to wear a respirator at times (as needed).
  • Offer may be contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen (drug screen would NOT include cannabis).
