Engineering Coordinator – Manufacturing Launch Support

Long-term contract with benefits

$22-23/hr with full benefits, OT eligible

Hours: 100% onsite; 7a-330p with some flexibility to support off shift; travel a couple times a year to Canada or Michigan.

Position Overview

The Engineering Coordinator supports manufacturing operations during the launch of a new product line, ensuring alignment across training, equipment readiness, and production requirements. This role works closely with engineering, operations, and training teams to coordinate onboarding activities, track progress, and support a successful production launch.

This position is highly collaborative and requires strong organizational skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate training activities for both hourly and salaried employees during product launch
  • Partner with internal training leads and external vendors to ensure training requirements are understood and executed
  • Track and document training completion and compliance across the workforce
  • Support coordination of OEM/vendor visits and on-site training activities
  • Assist with equipment readiness and launch support activities
  • Manage and track invoicing and payments related to training and vendor services
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and training groups
  • Take initiative to identify gaps and ensure tasks are completed with minimal supervision
  • Support additional launch-related activities and administrative coordination as needed


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field or Associate's Degree in a technical field
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to manufacturing or production environments
  • Understanding of equipment, machinery, or production processes
  • Experience supporting training coordination or program execution

Work Environment

  • Fully on-site position within a manufacturing facility
  • Standard schedule with flexibility to support off-shift activities as needed
  • Occasional travel (limited, including domestic and nearby international locations)
