Automotive Mechanic
Location: Allen Park, MI
Pay: 19-21/hour
Position Overview
Join our dynamic prototype automotive team as an Automotive Mechanic, where you will support innovative projects by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles. Work hands-on in a collaborative environment, with mentorship and learning opportunities, as you help develop the future of automotive technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Diagnostics & Repairs: Perform diagnostic checks and repairs on mechanical and electrical vehicle systems using repair orders and technical guidance.
- Component Replacement: Remove, repair, and replace faulty parts, components, and systems as required.
- Documentation: Accurately document maintenance actions, parts used, and service results in digital or paper records.
- Procedure Compliance: Interpret and follow manufacturer and company-provided service procedures and safety protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure shop equipment is in safe working order, conduct routine maintenance, and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Engage with team members for project work and contribute to a positive, safety-focused workshop environment.
- Shop Organization: Maintain an organized and clean work area and participate in daily shop upkeep.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of automotive mechanic experience.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate shop tools and equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
