Integrated Master Scheduler
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Integrated Master Scheduler to support complex programs through the development, maintenance, and coordination of Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS). This role is responsible for ensuring schedules are compliant, fully integrated across functional teams, and aligned to program objectives, customer requirements, and Earned Value Management (EVM) standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting government or defense-related programs and a deep understanding of schedule integration, critical path analysis, and program performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Program Scheduling & Planning
- Prepare, develop, and maintain Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
- Develop compliant program schedules with appropriate detail, logic, and traceability to support program execution
- Ensure horizontal and vertical integration of schedules across:
- Finance
- Engineering
- Procurement
- Operations
- Manufacturing
- Quality
- Support program objectives through accurate planning and schedule coordination
Schedule Analysis & Performance Tracking
- Monitor program schedule performance and progress against planned activities
- Identify schedule variances, critical path impacts, and network logic conflicts
- Perform schedule risk and opportunity analysis
- Develop workaround strategies and recovery plans for schedule impacts
- Utilize project management and scheduling techniques including:
- Gantt charts
- PERT charts
- Milestone tracking
- Earned Value Management (EVM)
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare IMS updates and reporting packages for:
- Program management
- Business leadership
- Customers
- Ensure timely submission of contractual scheduling deliverables
- Maintain compliance with:
- Internal policies
- Customer requirements
- Industry standards
- Earned Value Management requirements
- Support schedule reviews and audits as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Equivalent education and experience may be considered
- 7+ years of planning and scheduling experience
- Experience developing compliant Integrated Master Schedules using:
- Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Responsibility Assignment Matrices (RAM)
- Statements of Work (SOW)
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Strong experience using scheduling tools such as:
- Open Plan
- Microsoft Project
- Ability to analyze:
- Critical paths
- Driving paths
- Schedule risks and opportunities
- Experience presenting complex schedule and program data to stakeholders outside of scheduling teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 7–10 years of Integrated Master Scheduling experience
- Experience reading and interpreting government contracts
- Experience building Integrated Master Schedules compliant with Earned Value methodologies
- Background supporting defense or government programs preferred
