We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement & Logistics Specialist to manage inventory, shipping and receiving, and procurement activities while ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective logistics operations.


Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating domestic and international shipments, supporting supplier relationships, and driving smooth material flow throughout the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on logistics responsibilities with procurement and operational support in a fast-paced technical environment.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & SAP

  • Process work orders and generate purchase orders within SAP
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and location tracking
  • Perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and support physical inventory audits
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock and reorder points
  • Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled

Shipping, Receiving & Logistics

  • Manage all inbound and outbound shipments
  • Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials
  • Coordinate domestic and international freight shipments, tracking, and delivery schedules
  • Select shipping methods and carriers based on cost, urgency, and service requirements
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, documentation, and trade requirements
  • Process returns and manage outbound customer and vendor shipments

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, lead times, and delivery issues
  • Resolve discrepancies and support procurement activities
  • Negotiate shipping rates and vendor pricing when appropriate
  • Assist with supplier relationship management and purchasing operations

Reporting & Operational Support

  • Generate inventory, shipping, and month-end reports
  • Maintain an organized warehouse and inventory environment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations
  • Serve as a backup resource for shipping and receiving functions as needed


Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant logistics, procurement, inventory, or supply chain experience
  • Strong SAP or ERP system experience
  • Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments
  • Knowledge of international trade practices, including Incoterms, HTS codes, and shipping compliance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience negotiating freight rates and vendor pricing
  • Familiarity with RMA (Return Material Authorization) processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Smartsheet
  • Warehouse, inventory control, or distribution operations experience
