Electrical Engineer
Location: Torrance, CA
Contract Duration: 6 months (possible extension or direct hire)
Schedule: Onsite | 9/80 schedule (7:30 AM start time)
Compensation: $55–$60/hour, including PTO and optional benefits
Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and delivering electrical systems and components that meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. This role collaborates cross-functionally to support projects from concept through testing, documentation, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
- Design electrical systems, components, and products based on defined requirements and specifications
- Develop, build, and test prototypes to validate functionality, performance, and safety
System Analysis & Troubleshooting
- Analyze electrical systems and circuits using calculations and simulation tools
- Identify performance gaps, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective technical solutions
Project Management
- Plan and manage electrical engineering projects, including timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Technical Documentation
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, diagrams, and test reports
- Track design changes and maintain accurate project records
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to maintain a safe working environment
Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into larger products or platforms
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Research & Innovation
- Stay current with emerging electrical engineering technologies and best practices
- Propose innovative solutions to improve product performance, reliability, and efficiency
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (required)
- Master’s degree (preferred)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in electrical circuit design, analysis, and simulation tools
- Working knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Experience using CAD software for schematics and layouts

Experience
- Prior experience in an electrical engineering or related role (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment
