Closed Parts Material Analyst – 1st & 2nd Shift Openings

Shift Options & Compensation

  • 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM (1-hour lunch), $25.00/hr
  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2PM – 11PM (1-hour lunch), $26.00/hr

Must Have Skills

  • Experience in materials planning and supply chain operations
  • Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
  • Ability to manage part changes, inventory control, and root cause analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong data accuracy and documentation skills
  • Effective cross-functional communication with Operations, Planning, and Quality teams
  • Comfortable with lifting 25 lbs repetitively

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

  • Report work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards
  • Comply with all HSE standards, procedures, and regulations
  • Actively participate in HSE training programs

Quality

  • Perform quality checks on material master data (lead time, order quantities, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to resolve non-conforming material issues
  • Ensure adherence to standard work and documented processes

Delivery & Materials Management

  • Initiate and manage purchase/work orders to support demand plans
  • Participate in supplier allocation calls and understand constraints
  • Reduce lead times and optimize order quantities to balance supply and demand
  • Reposition excess inventory to locations with demand
  • Provide timely updates on inventory availability and backorder recovery
  • Manage part change requests and coordinate ramp-up/ramp-down activities
  • Reconcile order boards for critical suppliers and past-due orders
  • Own delivery schedules and ensure on-time performance for customer needs
  • Support Supplier Improvement Process and drive materials performance metrics

Operational Execution (Internal Candidates)

  • Audit incoming parts on warehouse floor (review labels/stickers)
  • Validate part numbers, quantities, and packaging
  • Resolve receiver errors by:
  • Claiming and processing cases
  • Uploading and validating packing slips
  • Creating expected receipts in the system
  • Uploading documentation and updating status
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Planning, Quality, Operations)
  • Ensure cases are processed and resolved in a timely manner (return, scrap, shelf placement)

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Materials Planning System Utilization: Primary system knowledge; occasional use of tools like Excel, Access, OMS
  • Plan for Every Part (PFEP): Apply PFEP principles to maintain efficient materials flow
  • Part Change Control: Manage obsolescence, supersession, and new part releases
  • KPI Management: Analyze and act on performance gaps using materials KPIs
  • Master Supply Scheduling: Validate and align schedules across procurement and production

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Post-secondary education or certifications in supply chain, logistics, or business are a plus

Experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on work experience in material planning, supply chain, or warehouse operations
  • Intermediate knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and supply planning tools
