Materials Coordinator
Location: Sumner, WA
Pay Rate: $33.14 per hour
SCA Health & Welfare Benefit: $5.09 per hour
Position Overview
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for supporting warehouse and maintenance operations by ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing vehicle repair parts, tools, and materials. This role ensures inventory accuracy, proper documentation, and efficient material flow in support of maintenance and fielding activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse or motor pool environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Order, receive, store, and issue vehicle repair parts, Basic Issue Items, and Special Tools in support of maintenance or fielding operations
- Pack, seal, label, and prepare materials for storage, fielding, or shipment
- Complete supply documentation and accurately identify part numbers and serial numbers
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to order and distribute parts and materials
- Verify material locations and maintain accurate location markers
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and accountability standards
- Perform routine cycle counts and accurately document quantities
- Update inventory databases to ensure a high level of accuracy and integrity
- Follow safety procedures and contribute as an effective team member
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of related warehouse, logistics, or materials coordination experience preferred
- Working knowledge of supply or inventory management processes
- Experience using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal and external teams
- Ability to learn company processes, products, and military-related equipment
Requirements
- Must be able to operate a forklift in warehouse or outdoor environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Ability to obtain a passport and corporate credit card (travel may be required for permanent hires)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
