Field Service Technician
Position Summary
Supports field service operations by troubleshooting technical issues, performing maintenance and repairs, and ensuring equipment meets customer requirements. Acts as a key liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams while supporting project execution, logistics, and configuration control.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues in the field
- Document problems, develop procedures, and communicate corrective actions to customers
- Assist in planning, estimating, and scheduling personnel and equipment for field service projects
- Support analysis of system deficiencies and provide input for design improvements
- Assemble, install, test, maintain, and repair equipment and systems
- Ensure products meet customer requirements and operational standards
- Assist in resolving field service issues, including scheduling conflicts and funding concerns
- Support pre-overhaul inspections and prepare discrepancy reports
- Serve as point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal teams on technical and administrative matters
- Maintain configuration control databases and support logistics for assigned projects
Required Qualifications
Experience
- General mechanical experience (heavy equipment or similar)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Core Skills
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Ability to document technical issues and communicate solutions clearly
- Basic project coordination and organizational skills
- Effective communication with customers and cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
- Experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
- Bradley Fighting Vehicle maintenance experience strongly preferred
Skills
- Familiarity with military vehicle systems and field service environments
- Ability to support logistics and configuration control activities
