We are open to an entry level college grad or HS with some manufacturing experience!!!


Location: Wentzville, MO

Contract: 12 Months (Potential for Extension or Direct Hire)

Compensation: $26–27/hour + Optional PTO & Benefits


Schedule Requirements

  • Must be able to support all three shifts
  • Primarily assigned to 3rd shift
  • Will train on 1st and 2nd shifts
  • Must be flexible to cover other shifts for vacation, sick leave, or business needs
  • Regular overtime expected, including scheduled Saturdays
  • May be required to work extended or 12-hour shifts when covering absences


Shift Times

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM


Position Summary

The Production Supervisor — Paint Operations leads a team of 12–18 union-represented hourly employees within an automotive manufacturing paint department.

This role is responsible for ensuring:

  • Workplace safety
  • Production quality
  • Throughput and operational efficiency
  • Employee engagement and support

The supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for daily floor operations and spends the majority of time on the production floor ensuring performance, quality standards, and team effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Employee Management

  • Supervise 12–18 union-represented hourly employees
  • Train, coach, and support team members
  • Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to standards
  • Address employee concerns and conflicts in a union environment


Production & Quality Oversight

  • Ensure safe work practices and compliance with plant safety standards
  • Maintain vehicle quality standards and specification compliance
  • Monitor line performance and throughput
  • Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime
  • Adjust priorities to maintain production flow


Administrative & Operational Support

  • Support payroll processing and timekeeping activities
  • Complete required administrative documentation accurately and on time
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with other departments


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven reliability and stable work history
  • Ability to lead teams and address workplace issues proactively
  • Comfortable working on the manufacturing floor for extended periods


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments
  • Experience working in a unionized setting
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience
  • Familiarity with payroll/timekeeping systems (e.g., Kronos)


Work Environment

  • Fully on-site in an automotive manufacturing plant (no remote option)
  • Active, floor-based role requiring standing and walking for most of the shift
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required
  • Initial assignment on third shift, with flexibility to rotate based on business needs
