International Trade Specialist


Description:


Experience with international trade classifications, strong understanding of UNMCA/free trade policies. experience reviewing billing and material component to determine country of origin and making sure it meets the required thresholds. Must have trade specific experience.


Job Overview:


Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain by coordinating material and information flow, conducting supply chain analysis, and identifying areas for improvement. Support the implementation of new supply chain strategies and processes.


Essential Functions:


Manage international trade activities

Oversee and execute various trade activities, including classification, Free Trade Agreement certifications, and compliance with import/export regulations Conduct data analysis and research: Analyze data and conduct research to determine Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification, country of origin, and Free Trade Agreement eligibility Maintain trade data and documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date trade data, including import/export item master data, supplier databases, and Free Trade Agreement certificates Identify and support/implement continuous improvement initiatives: Proactively identify and support/implement initiatives to enhance trade compliance processes Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders: Effectively collaborate with stakeholders such as purchasing, suppliers, and customs brokers to ensure compliance and efficient operations Provide training and guidance: Provide comprehensive training and guidance on trade compliance matters to colleagues and suppliers Support audits and risk assessments: Provide support during audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with international trade regulations. Qualifications: Education:


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant field of study


Education Equivalency:


Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education


Work Experience:


2 years related experience Military Equivalency
