Human Resources Generalist – Employee Relations (3rd Shift Support)

Position Overview

We are seeking an HR professional to provide dedicated support for employee relations and HR operations during off-shift hours. This role will serve as a key resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, coaching leaders through workplace challenges, and supporting critical HR processes.

Schedule

Training Period

  • Monday – Friday
  • 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Regular Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • One-hour unpaid break

This position is being introduced to provide dedicated HR support during third-shift operations. There is potential for extension based on business needs and program success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers during assigned shift hours.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Counsel and coach managers on employee performance, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and leadership best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for company HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of HR processes.
  • Respond to and resolve inquiries submitted through the ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Partner with leaders to ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency within HR functions.
  • Support a positive employee experience through effective communication and problem resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices.
  • Experience supporting employee relations activities and workplace investigations.
  • Experience coaching and influencing managers at various levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or operations environments.
  • Experience working with HR case management or ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance practices.
  • Experience managing employee concerns in a fast-paced environment.
