Job Title: NGATS/DSESTS Operator

Location: Fort Hood, TX

Contract: 12-Month Contract (Temp-to-Hire)

Compensation: $27.00 – $31.96 per hour



Position Overview

We’re seeking a mission-driven NGATS/DSESTS Operator to join our team in Fort Hood, TX. This position is ideal for former military technicians, field service professionals, or defense electronics specialists who have hands-on experience with Next Generation Automatic Test System (NGATS) or Direct Support Electrical System Test Set (DSESTS) equipment.

In this role, you’ll support the readiness and reliability of critical military electronics by testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic components and line-replaceable units (LRUs). You’ll work in a structured environment where attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality make a direct impact on the mission.



Key Responsibilities

  • Operate NGATS and DSESTS systems to test and diagnose electronic assemblies and LRUs
  • Perform soldering and wiring on circuit boards and internal components
  • Remove, repair, and replace circuit cards and other electronic hardware as required
  • Load, verify, and update software on LRUs using a Maintenance Support Device (MSD)
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all test results, maintenance actions, and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, technical, and operational procedures
  • Support process improvements and contribute to testing efficiency and reliability



Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience operating NGATS or DSESTS test systems
  • Skilled in soldering, wiring, and circuit card assembly or replacement
  • Experience loading or updating LRU software using an MSD
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or military school preferred)



Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior U.S. military experience in an electronics maintenance or test role (e.g., 94-series, 35-series, or similar MOS)
  • Background in defense electronics repair, field maintenance, or depot-level support
  • Strong communication skills and attention to technical accuracy
