Pipefitter

Location: Novi, MI

Contract Duration: Longterm ongoing contract

Schedule: Day Shift (Start at 6:00 AM)

Compensation: $24 - $25/hour with PTO and optional benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to work in a machine tool manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be capable of performing assigned tasks independently, with minimal guidance from a Skilled Trades Leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schematic and mechanical drawings
• Build and install pipe headers
• Thread and install piping systems
• Install service stands and lockout valves
• Pipe robotic systems and sealing equipment
• Prepare valve packs and manifolds
• Run hoses and dress tools according to customer specifications
• Read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs)
• Drill, tap, and ream holes as needed
• Operate hand tools and shop equipment, including:
• Hand saws
• Drill press
• Grinders

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and piping layouts
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics

Required Tools

Candidates must bring the following tools:

• Pipe wrenches (10", 18")
• Adjustable wrenches
• Allen wrenches (standard & metric)
• Socket wrenches (standard & metric)
• Channel lock pliers
• 3/8" drill motor
• Tape measure
• Hose cutters
• Level
