Disassembly Technician
Location: Maricopa, AZ
Pay Rate: $17–$20/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Disassembly Technician to support corrosion testing operations through the teardown and preparation of test vehicles. This role is responsible for the complete disassembly of vehicles, preparing components for inspection and evaluation, and assisting with various aspects of corrosion testing.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Disassembly & Preparation
- Remove interior components, engine, and drivetrain systems
- Disassemble major vehicle structures including hood, doors, trunk, and body panels
- Drill out spot welds, cut laser welds, and separate individual body components
- Prepare vehicles for inspection by removing plugs, clips, and related hardware
- Clean vehicles and components for evaluation processes
Component Handling & Storage
- Package and store body panels and components for inspection and analysis
- Maintain organization of parts and ensure proper documentation
Operational Support
- Drive corrosion test vehicles on a rotational basis to reduce repetitive motion risk
- Assist with additional corrosion testing activities as needed
- Perform heavy mechanical work including tire changes and transmission removal

Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
Experience & Skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Ability to use hand tools and perform mechanical disassembly tasks
- Basic computer skills
- Minimum of four (4) years of licensed driving experience
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions
- Ability to obtain track certification (minimum “D” level) and forklift certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for 6–8 hours daily
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to pass a drug screen and physical exam
