Position Summary
Open containers using hand tools to count, weigh, and sample materials; utilize computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying, and recording information. Load and unload materials onto or from pallets and trays by hand. Complete physical inventory counts, both manually and using weigh scales.
Education & Experience
Education Required:
Experience Required:
- Minimum of three years of experience in inventory management
- Prior work experience in a warehouse environment
- Must be 18+ years old and possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift weights up to 40 lbs
- Ability to operate a handheld scanner quickly and accurately to locate items
- Highly detail-oriented; strong data entry skills
- Able to read and understand shipping documents
- Advanced math skills, computer and typing skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Suite, and related software
- Able to operate propane or electric-powered forklifts
- Some schedule flexibility (may include weekends, holidays, early mornings, or evenings)
- Strong English oral and written communication skills
Experience Preferred:
- Forklift trained
- High-reach truck trained

Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Open and inspect incoming containers using hand tools
- Count, weigh, and sample materials for inventory control
- Track, log, verify, and record the movement and condition of materials using computer systems
- Load and unload pallets and trays manually as required
- Perform regular physical inventory counts using manual tallies and weigh scales
- Accurately input data into inventory management systems
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and manage safety risks
- Coordinate with team members to meet operational goals and deadlines
- Use handheld scanners and other technology to manage inventory and locate products
- Read, understand, and process shipping documentation
