Manufacturing Process Engineer
Location: Oshkosh, WI
Contract: 12 months with potential for extension
Schedule: 1st shift
Compensation: $32-34/hour with optional PTO and benefits
Summary
The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for supporting detailed manufacturing processes, including the development of routings, time studies, and N/C programming. This role reviews new product releases for both design and manufacturability, provides shop floor support, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve coordination, efficiency, and overall production performance. The position also assists with identifying opportunities for new equipment and tooling to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate timely and accurate N/C programs to support efficient production operations.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify potential issues, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with production teams and cross-functional departments through regular meetings to implement process improvements.
- Review new product releases to evaluate design for manufacturability and production readiness.
- Assist in evaluating and recommending new equipment, tooling, and process enhancements.
- Provide hands-on shop floor support to help improve communication and coordination between departments.
- Conduct or support time studies and process documentation related to manufacturing operations.
- Serve as backup to the shop supervisor when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Internship experience or at least six (6) months of related work experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with CAD modeling software.
- Understanding of mechanical design principles.
- Knowledge of applying material science concepts within engineering designs.
