Production Configuration Management Analyst

Position Overview

Join an innovative team supporting the production of mission-critical defense products that help protect U.S. service members. As a Production Configuration Management Analyst, you will play a key role in managing manufacturing configuration changes, ensuring production documentation remains accurate, and coordinating implementation plans across multiple manufacturing functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the processing and implementation of Manufacturing Change Notices (MCNs).
  • Review and analyze Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and engineering change documentation.
  • Compare engineering changes against current Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOMs).
  • Identify impacts to:
  • Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOMs)
  • Production routings
  • Assembly setups
  • Product effectivity
  • Material flow to the production floor
  • Manufacturing work instructions
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and support teams to gather current MBOM configuration information.
  • Organize and facilitate cross-functional team meetings to develop and execute implementation plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for problem-solving activities related to production configuration changes.
  • Ensure manufacturing documentation and production processes remain aligned with engineering requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience reading and interpreting Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of Bills of Material (BOMs) and production configuration management.
  • Experience with Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) systems, preferably Windchill.
  • Experience using Oracle, including:
  • Item Master
  • Drawing File Management
  • Bills of Material
  • Routings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes including:
  • Assembly and sub-assembly operations
  • Machining
  • Welding
  • Paint and finishing
  • Product marking and identification
  • Knowledge of non-conforming material processes, including rework and upgrades through Outside Service Providers (OSPs).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, coding, and macros.
  • Experience with manufacturing operations and production processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing material control and change implementation processes, including:
  • Job releases
  • Production modifications
  • Floor stock management
  • Inventory and on-hand material control
  • Experience using OBIEE to export and analyze data for MBOM change management.
