Senior Level Electrical Engineer
Job Summary
Describes the role of a senior level engineer responsible for planning and conducting engineering activities. Key Accountabilities
- Perform system analysis using operational criteria and tools (CYME, EMS) Or PSSE Planning tool or TARA instead of EMS Look for these key words/experience
- Works closely with system study engineer and project scheduler to ensure accuracy of long-term shutdown schedule.
- Organizes and leads huddle and shutdown schedule review meetings.
- Organizes and leads cross-function team meetings especially for complex and back-to-back shutdowns in the same area/regions.
- Champions continuous improvement (CI) initiatives focused on shutdown optimization and coordination of resources.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 4 years of relevant job experience.
Other Qualifications (Preferred)
- A Master's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience maintaining State Estimator technical applications. Familiarity with Energy Management System (EMS) including State Estimator (SE), Contingency Analysis (CA), and N-1 conditions operating practices.
- Familiar with PSSE or TARA applications.
- Ability to provide operational feedback to improve EMS system models based on real-time measurements.
Additional Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral.
- Good interpersonal skills for building relationships within the team.
