About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading energy organization to identify an experienced Project Manager to support large-scale renewable energy capital projects across solar, wind, and energy storage initiatives.

This role offers the opportunity to lead high-visibility projects from design through commissioning while working alongside engineering teams, contractors, utilities, and regulatory stakeholders. If you enjoy owning projects end-to-end, driving construction execution, and contributing to the expansion of renewable infrastructure, this is an excellent opportunity to make a measurable impact.

This is a long-term contract role with no defined end date and strong potential for continued engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead full lifecycle management of renewable capital projects (scope, schedule, budget, risk, closeout)
  • Coordinate engineering, estimating, and construction teams to ensure successful execution
  • Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and transition into service
  • Manage contractor performance, procurement strategy, and cost controls
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including internal teams, suppliers, and trade labor organizations
  • Support on-site construction activities and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Mentor junior project managers and engineers as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of project management experience
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects
  • Utility or infrastructure project background
  • At least 6 months of renewable energy experience (solar, wind, or energy storage)
  • 3+ years of substation experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field preferred

PMP certification is a plus.

Why This Role?

  • Work on impactful renewable energy projects at scale
  • Hybrid flexibility
  • Long-term stability
  • Competitive hourly compensation
  • Opportunity to mentor and influence project teams
  • High visibility within the organization

If you’re an experienced construction-focused Project Manager with renewable or utility exposure and are looking for your next long-term opportunity in the Detroit area, we’d love to connect.
