Director of Wealth Management, SVP


Location: Amarillo, TX

Salary/Pay Rate: $150,000 - $175,000 base + 25-30% bonus

Schedule: Monday–Friday, some Saturdays, flexible schedule; typically, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM


About the Client:

A reputable financial institution in Amarillo, TX, which manages approximately $350 million n personal and corporate trust assets and has approximately $138 million in assets under management.


Job Description:

The Sr. VP, Director of Wealth Management will play a critical role in leading and expanding the bank's wealth management division. This includes overseeing the Personal and Corporate Trust Departments, developing and implementing growth strategies, and managing a team of eight employees, including three direct reports. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of fiduciary accounts, investment strategies, and regulatory compliance, along with a proven track record of success in growing wealth management businesses. This role will involve creating a business plan, diversifying product offerings (including working with RIAs, special needs trusts, 1031 Exchanges in trust, and dispensary owners), expanding wealth regionally, and working within local communities to gain bank recognition and referrals.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in fiduciary client service and sales, with a proven track record of success.
  • Advanced knowledge of trust administration, estate planning strategies, and tax matters.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Graduate degree (JD or MBA) or professional licenses (CTFA, CFP, CPA).
  • Experience with oil and gas trust accounting.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment theory.
  • Experience with 1031 Exchanges, special needs trusts, and working with RIAs and dispensary owners.
