Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health

Compensation:
$38.50 to $55.60 per hour on a full-time, direct hire basis which comes with the full range of benefits and paid time off (3-4 weeks).
Schedule:
- Full-time, daytime hours, No weekends required.
- Service Type: Bakers Act / In-patient Psychiatric Setting.
- FTE: 43 hours/week.
Reporting to: Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) / Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
- The facility has a total bed capacity of 43, with plans to expand by 8 beds.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health for our top client at HCA Florida JFK North Hospital. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, passion for behavioral health, and a commitment to patient-centered, trauma-informed care in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee clinical staff within the behavioral health unit.
- Promote a trauma-informed, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ensure staffing, compliance, and quality standards are maintained.
- Hold staff accountable while fostering an empathetic, supportive environment.
- Manage a 43-bed unit (with plans to add 8 more beds).
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate Degree or higher.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Behavioral Health.
- At least 2 years' leadership experience in behavioral health within an acute care setting.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (must obtain within 30 days of start date).
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification (must obtain within 30 days of start date).
- Fingerprint background check required.
