Location: Fort Worth, TX

Salary: $75,750 - $113,625 (Full-Time, Direct Hire)

Rainy Day Recruiter, in collaboration with our healthcare partner, is seeking a Manager for Ortho Neuro Medical Surgical Registered Nurses in Fort Worth, Texas. About the Role:

As the Manager of Ortho Neuro Med Surg RNs, you will share 24-hour accountability with the Director of Progressive Care for the effective and efficient management of the Neurosurgical Medical Surgical department. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of patient care by adhering to hospital and external regulatory guidelines. Your role will also involve maintaining interdisciplinary collaboration and fostering a team-centered environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, hospital protocols, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide leadership and maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Manage the operational and capital budget while promoting cost-effective practices.
  • Conduct hourly rounds and promptly respond to patient needs, ensuring proactive resolutions.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new employees, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Uphold safety protocols, including hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to isolation procedures.


Required Skills:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of recent acute care leadership experience in an ICU or Neurological unit.
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure in Texas or a Compact State.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required.
  • Clinical Expertise: Current and relevant clinical practice in the area of expertise.


Preferred Skills:

  • Proven leadership experience within a large, high-acuity healthcare setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and collaboration across disciplines.
  • Experience in managing budgets and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising patient care.
